Professional Recording for Any Ensemble
Every recording is professionally captured, mixed, mastered, and edited to reflect the quality of the performance
→ Listen below to bands, choirs, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and recitals recorded throughout Michigan.
Concert Band
Concert bands demand detail and power. The challenge is preserving the character of the woodwinds and low brass while maintaining enough headroom for the ensemble’s biggest moments.
Choir
Choirs need a different approach than bands. The goal is a blended choir sound with clear diction and a piano accompaniment that supports the ensemble without overpowering it. The piano is recorded separately for better control in the final mix.
Orchestra
Orchestras demand a different approach than bands or choirs. Careful mixing, EQ, and mastering help preserve the warmth and depth of the string section while reducing harshness and unwanted string noise.
Jazz Band
Jazz is one of the hardest ensemble types to record well. Separate recording of the rhythm section and horns provides the flexibility needed to create a clear, balanced mix where soloists, accompaniment, and ensemble work all remain audible.
Recitals
Recitals allow the featured performer and accompanist to be recorded separately, providing greater control during mixing and mastering. The result is a balanced recording suitable for auditions, graduate school applications, portfolios, and personal archives.

What You Receive
Professional Audio Engineering
Every performance is recorded using dedicated microphones chosen for the ensemble and venue. Audio is captured separately from the cameras, allowing for detailed mixing and mastering after the concert.
Multi-Camera Video
Every performance is covered with multiple camera angles and edited to follow the music naturally. The final video highlights soloists, sections, the conductor, and important moments throughout the performance.
Finished Videos Ready to Share
Each piece is individually edited, synchronized, mixed, mastered, and delivered as a finished video. Live-streaming is also available for performances that need a live audience beyond the concert hall.
Recording Options & Pricing
Every Lieber Media recording includes the same professional multitrack audio recording, mixing, and mastering.
The difference between Standard and Premium is the video production workflow—not the audio quality.
Standard Concert Recordings
Starting at $750
Four camera angles are edited live during the performance to create a professional final recording. This approach delivers excellent results while allowing for faster turnaround at a lower price point.
Premium Concert Recordings
Starting at $1,500
Six camera angles are recorded independently and edited by hand after the performance. The result is a more polished and dynamic final production with greater visual variety, refined shot selection, and a more consistent look.
Live-streaming
Starting at $500
Extend your audience beyond the concert hall with professional live-streaming. Available as an add-on to any recording package.
Requires a wired internet connection provided by the venue.
What Affects Pricing?
Pricing may increase for performances that include:
Travel beyond one hour from Otsego
Extended runtimes
Collage concerts
Significant stage changes
Most projects fall between $750 and $2,500+, with custom quotes available for larger productions.
Common Questions
-
Most concert recordings are used for educational, archival, promotional, and non-commercial purposes. As long as your organization has obtained the appropriate rights to perform the music being presented, recordings and livestreams can typically be produced without issue. If you have questions about a specific work or performance, I’m happy to discuss the details before the concert.
-
Very little. Most directors provide the concert date, venue information, and the concert program. I handle the audio, cameras, recording, and post-production.
-
A camera at the back of the auditorium can document a performance, but it rarely captures the full musical experience. Professional concert recording combines dedicated audio engineering, multi-camera video production, and an understanding of live performance.
My background as a musician, audio engineer, video producer, and live event professional allows me to approach each concert from multiple perspectives. Every camera angle, microphone placement, and editing decision is made with the goal of accurately preserving the performance and representing the ensemble at its best.
The goal is not simply to record the concert, but to create a final product that reflects the quality, preparation, and artistry that went into the performance.
-
Yes. Most of my work takes place throughout Michigan. Travel beyond one hour from Otsego may affect pricing.
-
My recording system is completely self-contained, and I bring all necessary cameras, microphones, audio equipment, and cabling. Most venues require little to no preparation in advance.
-
Standard recordings are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks. Premium productions generally require 2–8 weeks depending on the complexity of the project and the season.
-
All recordings are delivered digitally and can be downloaded, archived, shared with students and families, or used for promotional purposes according to your organization’s needs.
